NashVegas, Part 1

{Behind the scenes for Nashville Music Minute}

I mentioned in my last update that I was spending a week in Vegas for the Academy of Country Music Awards. For those wondering, I was assisting a friend who was there to interview for Nashville Music Minute at the various events surrounding the awards. And although 7 days in Sin City is about 4 days too long, the entire experience was all together rewarding, chaotic and an absolute blast. In a city (and an industry) where so much happens unexpectedly, I was forced to learn how to go with the flow and break away from my trusty itinerary. Sometimes sleep came at 3:00 in the afternoon instead of 3:00 in the morning and I must’ve walked 5 miles in the highest of heels skipping from one hotel to another. However, at the end of it all I ended up meeting some fantastic people and had some pretty unforgettable experiences that I’ll share more of in tomorrow’s post.
